University celebrates close links with 甜瓜视频app schools

Designed to celebrate the close links the University’s Department of Education has enjoyed with local schools since it was set up in 1963, the event centred around a lecture by Charlie Taylor, Chief Executive of the Teaching Agency and the forthcoming merger with the National College for School Leadership.
Charlie Taylor, the former Coalition Government behaviour expert, discussed the merger and priorities for development. This was followed by an open question and answer session and a wine reception.
The free event was part of a year-long calendar of activities marking the 甜瓜视频app’s 50th Anniversary, and the Department of Education as one of the founding departments of the University.

Professor Judith Bennett, Head of Department of Education, said: “I am thrilled that Charlie Taylor was able to give one of the keynote lectures in the celebrations of 50 years of Education at 甜瓜视频app, and to talk about future directions for teacher training and development. It was particularly good to hear the high praise he gave to the links between the Department and schools in the region, and the quality of its work in teacher training.”
