The WCU Business Administration and Law Program offers students a quality education
in the area of business administration and law, business policy, and strategy through
teaching, research, and service. The program’s undergraduate degree is unique to the
University of North Carolina system. The degree provides majors with a solid background
in business, as well as the pre-law foundation necessary for law school. Graduates
are perfectly positioned for advanced study or careers in a variety of industries,
including advertising, banking, law, healthcare administration and risk management.
The degree program allows students to develop a comprehensive background in business
theory, application and practice by way of a rigorous curriculum taught by enthusiastic
faculty members. The business core includes courses from multiple disciplines, including
accounting, finance and marketing. The major includes courses such as Business Organization,
Contracts and Sales Credits, International Business Law, Bankruptcy, and Business
Ethics and Corporate Responsibility. In addition to curriculum-based learning opportunities,
students may choose to participate in the Business and Law Society and the Campus
Mediation Society, both of which are open to all students.
