2024 Equity in Education Summit:
Reclaiming Joy in Our Schools
Monday, February 26 & Tuesday, February 27, 2024
The Renaissance Hotel, Downtown Asheville, NC
Come together with national scholars and regional PreK-12 school community members (including teachers, specialists, school counselors, school/district leaders, board members, students, education-related association members, and other community members who see their work as impacting education) to learn more about educational practices that cultivate joy in schools.
CONFERENCE AND SESSIONS SCHEDULE
Registration:
Registration begins at 8:00 am in the hotel lobby area outside Grand Ballrooms A &
B. Please enter the hotel at the front and follow directional signs past the main
hotel check-in area and turn left to find the lobby area for the conference.
Coffee will begin being served at 7:45 in the lobby area.
Parking:
Please note that parking is available behind the Renaissance Hotel for $8 a day. You will need to arrive several minutes early to allow for receiving a parking slip and entering through the parking gate. You can then walk around the Hotel and enter at the front.

Lunch and Learn Day Two: Day one of the conference will be "lunch on your own" in beautiful downtown Asheville. We encourage participants to make lunch reservations for 12:15. On day two of the conference, we will be hosting a lunch and learn event. During registration you will have the option to register and pay for a $10 boxed lunch for day two if you would like to join.

PK-12 Teachers (limited availability)............$60.00 -- Spaces for this option are now full. Teachers may register as a regular attendee.
University Students..... $60.00

All registration fees are non-refundable.
Lodging
A limited number of hotel rooms will be available for a reduced rate of $119 a night
(plus taxes and fees). Reservation must be made by January 23, 2024 to receive this reduced rate.

There will be 5 different types of Conference Presentations for this year's conference:
General Interest Session, Lightning Round Session, Round Table Scholar-Practitioner
Discussion, Scholarly Poster Session, PK-12 Student Presentation (sponsorsd by an
educator and persmission granted from the school system). There are also opportunities
to lead Interactive Wellness Sessions.
