Career Fairs

Students at career fair

We sponsor several career fairs throughout the year that allow our employers to meet with a large volume of students in an exhibit hall setting.  Career fairs are our most popular resource for employers to briefly talk to students about the opportunities you have for various internships and careers.  These career fairs range from industry-specific to general.  Our students are encouraged to attend career fairs not only to learn more about opportunities with employers, but also to explore their career options by speaking with recruiters about what your organization and industry have to offer.

College of Engineering Fair

The College of Engineering Fair is geared toward our Construction Management, Engineering, and Engineering Technology programs at Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵapp, although any student interested in these industries can attend. This event features a career fair and sit-down luncheon where employers and students can mix and mingle.  It is a great time to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere. Join us to market your full-time positions and internship opportunities and meet students early in their careers.

Education Fair

The Education Fair allows future teaching candidates to interact with school districts to explore employment and student teaching opportunities. Students who are interested in working in a school setting are encouraged to attend. This can include school counselors, speech-language pathologists, nutritionists, and other relevant career paths. This event is offered in March/April each year.

Healthcare Meet & Greet

The Healthcare Meet & Greet events are small-scale career fairs hosted each semester. The organizations invited to participate are partners with the College of Health and Human Sciences or Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵapp. There are limited spaces for these events. For inquiries, contact careerservices@wcu.edu

Summer Jobs Fest

The Summer Jobs Fest is offered during the spring semester and takes place outside on the centrally located Campus Quad/Fountain Area. This is an excellent recruiting opportunity for employers seeking part-time and seasonal employees or summer interns, and students seeking such opportunities are encouraged to attend. This event is offered in April of each year.

Part-Time Employment Fair

The Part-Time Employment Fair is offered each fall semester during the first week of school. Students are invited to attend to seek on- and off-campus part-time employment for the academic year.
