The Brinson Honors College recently launched a new initiative designed to recognize current student leaders and build stronger connections with young alumni of the college through a project made possible by donors to the Fund for WCU.

Eighteen WCU students from five academic disciplines are exploring Jackson County’s built environment and ways it can be improved to benefit older adults living in poverty. Students met with participating faculty for a full-day retreat this summer as the project ramps up again this fall semester.
