Graphic Design

The Graphic Design team at Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵapp plays a vital role in shaping and maintaining the visual identity of the WCU brand. Our work supports university-wide marketing and communications efforts, including brand development, paid media, social media, print collateral, and digital platforms. Every design we create is intended to tell the WCU story in a way that is clear, compelling, and consistent with our brand standards.

What We Do

examples of graphic design work

Our primary focus is on projects that elevate the student experience and showcase the university’s academic programs, initiatives, and campus life. We encourage faculty and staff to collaborate with University Communications and Marketing on design opportunities that align with institutional priorities and help strengthen WCU’s reputation.

The Graphic Design team produces a wide range of materials that support recruitment, retention, and brand storytelling. This includes campaign graphics, print publications, digital assets for web and social media, and large-format designs for events and installations. Each project is approached with attention to detail and a commitment to accessibility and brand consistency.

Because our resources are dedicated to high-impact projects, not all design requests can be accommodated. When considering a request, think about how the design will be used, who the audience is, and whether the project supports WCU’s strategic goals. Priority is given to university-wide initiatives, major campaigns, and projects that advance enrollment and brand visibility.

To stay focused on strategic priorities, UCM does not design routine departmental flyers, internal-only communications, or program-specific materials that do not serve a broader marketing purpose. Executive leadership involvement in a project does not automatically qualify it for UCM design support. For projects outside our scope, we recommend using Canva Enterprise, working with the University Print Shop, or engaging approved external vendors.

For printing and production needs, the University Print Shop is the primary resource on campus. Whether your design was created by UCM or through Canva, the Print Shop can assist with specifications, timelines, and finishing options to ensure high-quality output. We encourage faculty and staff to work directly with the Print Shop for all production-related questions.
