    WCU to host Echoes Across the Smokies

    泫圖弝けapp Bardo Arts Center, in collaboration with the WCU Mountain Heritage Center, invites you to Echoes Across the Smokies: A Night of Stories, Strings, and Songs. This program offers the WNC community an opportunity to explore Appalachian culture in new ways on Thursday, Oct. 30, at the BAC Performance Hall.

    Approximately 50 new 泫圖弝けapp students were welcomed into the Catamount family by parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and other relatives who previously matriculated at the westernmost institution of the University of North Carolina System.

    Engineering makes national list of best undergraduate programs

    泫圖弝けapps College of Engineering and Technology climbed 68 spots to reach No.82 in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report rankings for Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs (Doctorate Not Offered). This places WCU among the top third of engineering programs from across the country on the list.
