Biography
JONATHAN LATOURELLE is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy and
Religion at Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµapp, where he teaches and does research. He began
his academic journey at Santa Barbara City College before earning his undergraduate
degree in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He
completed his Ph.D. at Arizona State University's Center for Biology and Society,
specializing in the history and philosophy of science with a focus on philosophy of
psychology and biology.<br>His scholarly interests include the conceptual foundations
of psychological and biological sciences, the relationship between biomedicine sciences
and society, and the philosophical implications of neuroscience and cognitive science.
He is actively involved in interdisciplinary initiatives, including serving on the
advisory board for the neuroscience minor at WCU.<br>In addition to research and teaching,
Dr LaTourelle organizes public philosophy events and speakers, fostering dialogue
between academic communities. ​
