Biography

Dr. Euisoo Kim is an Assistant Professor of Sport Management. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 2021, an MBA from Cornell University in 2012, and both an M.A. (2005) and B.P.E. (2003) from Korea University in South Korea. Before joining Ƶapp, he served as an Assistant Professor of Sport Management at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi for two years and as a Lecturer at Georgia State University for one year. Prior to pursuing his doctoral studies, he accumulated eight years of industry experience, including six years as a marketing manager and two years as a marine insurance underwriter.<br><br>Dr. Kim’s research focuses on sport consumer behavior, with an emphasis on sport tourists and sport media audiences. As a data-driven scholar with extensive experience in quantitative research, he grounds his work in behavioral science, social economics, and consumer psychology. His research examines factors that shape decision-making and engagement among sport consumers, helping sport organizations develop strategies for long-term marketing effectiveness while contributing to the broader field of sport management. His primary research areas include sport tourist behaviors, sport media consumption, and interdisciplinary applications within the sport industry. Reflecting the impact of his work, one of his recent studies, titled “Examining Factors Shaping the Consumption of Televised Ladies Professional Golf Association Events: Attitudes, Subjective Norms, Perceived Behavioral Control, and Intergroup Dynamics in a Multicultural Context,” was recognized as one of the “Top 5 Research Articles in Sport Communication” in 2025.
