Biography
Dr. Kia Rokni (Mohammad Alimohammadirokni) is an Assistant Professor of Hospitality
and Tourism Management at Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµapp. He earned his Ph.D. in Hospitality,
Tourism, and Retail Management from Texas Tech University, a master’s degree in Design
of Sustainable Tourism Systems from the University of Florence, and a bachelor’s degree
in English Language and Literature from the University of Tehran.<br>Before entering
academia full-time, Dr. Rokni spent several years teaching English and working as
a market researcher, experiences that shaped his interdisciplinary perspective on
consumer behavior and industry trends. His research explores the intersection of artificial
intelligence, digital transformation, sustainability, and consumer behavior in hospitality
and tourism, with particular interests in wine and beverage tourism, immersive technologies
(AR/VR), and hospitality innovation.<br>Dr. Rokni teaches courses in beverage operations,
event management, travel and tourism, and hospitality management. He is passionate
about experiential learning and about integrating industry-focused projects, applied
analytics, and emerging technologies into the classroom to prepare students for evolving
careers in hospitality and tourism.
