Biography

Dr. Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Western Carolina University (WCU). She joined WCU in 2023 after four years of industry experience as a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software developer. Her research interests include non-Newtonian fluid flows and multiphase flows, with a focus on interactions among different phases, including solids, liquids, and gases. She teaches courses in thermal-fluid sciences, including Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, and Thermodynamics.
