Biography

Rachel is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina but now proudly makes Western North Carolina her home. She got her Master's degree from WCU's English Department in 2014 and currently teaches courses to support WCU's Writing, Rhetoric, and Critical Studies program and Latina/o Studies minor.

Teaching Interests

Rachel teaches rhetoric and composition, first-year seminars in literature, and 200 level literature courses focused on Latina/o or Latin-American literature.

Research Interests

Rachel has two research interest areas: transnational literature, specifically focusing on the literature of Latina/o immigrant, first-generation, and diaspora writers, and the intersection of rhetoric and social psychology.
